THE DETAILS

It's in Oak Park, Illinois.  I've owned it (and been a list member) since 95 and bought it from my father-in-law.  He bought it from the dealer.
Burgundy with silver lowers.  Raven leather.
Touring package.  (Heated seats, moonroof, trip computer.)
75k miles, euro lights, Borla exhaust, no rust.
Leather has no cracks, dash has no cracks
The heat works.  The A/C works.
It's never been wrecked, except for a parking lot corner-crunch (which is how I got the euro lights.)
I don't smoke.  Nobody smokes in my car.

Maintenance History

Garaged its whole life.
List member since 1995
Oil changes at 3000 or 2x/year - whichever is more often.
Borla stainless steel exhaust.  There's a noticeable power increase.  It's a one-resonator setup, instead of the stock two.  About $500 from Rapido -http://www.rapidogroup.com/products.htm for more data.  It's a bolt-up system -no cutting to install it, so if you're a purist, you could put it back to stock. I wouldn't - When I had another Scorpio, I put one on it as well.

Most of the chronic Scorpio problems are already taken care of-

Steering rack, replaced with Hilco (Precision Rack) rebuild at 72k  - this is a first rate rebuild with stock dimensions, turn rate, etc.
Transmission - serious, high quality rebuild at 72 k miles.
Struts, shocks (FLM) , tires (Toyo Proxxes H4) , all done within the last 5000 miles.
Heater blower motor replaced last week.
Plugs, wires, coil, more - two years ago.
A/C clutch - three years ago
And, it has two new OEM foglights that work.  This is extremely rare.
Passed Illinois emissions one month ago.

Misses -

Garage door scuff (scrape) on right rear wheel well.
I have children, they ride in my wife's car, which is next to mine.  ---> Door dings.
ABS light is on intermittently.  Some window switches don't always work.
Slow-moving sunroof.
Slow rear window wiper (I'll throw in the replacement motor)
Passenger mirror motor is dead.  (I'll throw in a live mirror with bad external plastic - you make the swap.)
Rear reflector is cracked (I'll throw in a new one that I got from a list member, complete with Minnesota license plate.)
Seat motors are a little balky sometimes.  (I'll include the spare passenger seat from my parts inventory.)
Blown light bulb in the stereo - tuning at night is an adventure.

Also Includes

Thule rack adaptor kit for Scorpio - Not the rack, just the adapter kit - you buy the rack of your choice.

Brochures

$3500 may seem a little steep, but the lights and exhaust alone are $1300. The tranny was $1800, and the rack was about $450 installed.   The exhaust runs more than $500.  So the rest of the car is free!

And they're routinely going for $2000-2500 with 150k miles or more, boring lights and old trannies.
